Easel Card over at Dotties World

Hello you all.
This sunday Karen has set the challenge over at Dotties World and this is her words about that:
----------------------
Hi girls, Karen here. Nicole is taking some well-deserved time out so I will set the challenge for this week.

Have you tried making the very popular, and dead easy, Easel cards yet? My challenge this week is to make one so here's your chance to have a go. There are instructions on how to make an Easel Card on the Charmed site HERE. Theme, colours - anything goes, as long as it has one of the Charmed downloads on there somewhere.

I think this is my second easel card so far. Had fun making this one. There isn`t to much stash on this card. Some pearls and a flower I made of fabric.
Cardstock is Bazzill.
The rest of the paper is digital. I played with it in photoshop elements. I took a digital paper from" Ola la French Kit" made by Rhonna Farrer over at House of 3 as the base, then I used several brushes and added to it- all brushes are also made by Rhonna. Then I added the text.
It took a while, but sometimes I really enjoy playing digital. The Birds are png.file and I printed it out on clear sticker paper and added it to the card.
My charmed one is Holly on tour and she is ofcours in France. You can find her here.
Hope you take time to head over to DW and take a look at what the rest of the team has come up with. Love it.

Hi everyone, Adele here. It's my turn to set the challenge this week and I am trying to think ahead in an attempt to be organised! SO - What with us having a couple of weeks away between now and the end of the school year. I am aiming to be one step ahead with all those thank you cards for the kiddies teachers. Especially seeing as this year my son will be leaving his Junior school for pastures new!EEEK...how old does that make me feel!
THANKS A BUNCH!

Anyway, this week is open to loads themes, images, styles etc. Only two main rules; 1. Your creations must include a thank you greeting on it. 2. It must include a Charmed Download.

So here is my card for this challenge.

This is a new free image from Charmed Card and Craft. This adorable little Pixie is drawn by Lou and her name is Dahlia.
If you want her, head over to Dotties World and see what you have to do....

Make someone smile or..... SFTW challenge

Hello to you all.
This week we have a challenge over at Stampin For The Weekend, and we want you to make a card for someone to make them smile or cheer them up.

We have a fab sponsor for this challenge Wiff of Joy

WOJ are kindly donating the 2 stamps below from the 'Happy Mail' collection

PLUS... the winner will be able to choose a THIRD stamp of THEIR CHOICE from ANY of the collections! (subject to being in stock obviously).
What a fabulous prize!!

This challenge has a second part, and this is optionel, it is difficult for me to explain this, so I just copy what Kate said about this part.

Now there is a second part to this challenge and it’s one that I really hope you’d all like to take part in, though just to clarify, this second part is optional. We’d like to see you send your card/project to one of the children featured on the Post Pals website. Even better, make your card specifically with that child in mind.
Please log on to http://www.postpals.co.uk/ and have a look around the site.
Post Pals is an organisation that was set up to create smiles for children who suffer from life threatening and long term illnesses. We ask people to log on to send the children featured on the website ‘happy post’. When a child is very ill, often a visit from the postman can make their day. A cheery card or letter can make them feel less alone and bring welcome distraction from what they go through each day. To see the difference happy post can make, please watch THIS great video that was recently featured on the BBC3 TV show Russell Howard’s Good News. It can also be found on the Latest News page.
To send your card/project card to a Pal and brighten their day, please follow the 5 easy steps on the home page. We ask that you choose a Pal on the website and make a card for them. Please post a photo to your blog of the card and say which pal it’s for then link us to it. Here is the most important bit though… please then post the card to the address on your chosen child’s page. Please also remember to fill out the stats page (link to this is on the 5 easy steps) so we can see the card has been sent. We hope this challenge will raise more awareness of Post Pals and increase the amount of cards that are sent to the children to brighten their days.

So here are my card for this callenge. I made mine for Layrun A

There has been a DT call from SFTW, and we have two new to the teamies, and they will join us for the next 6 months and their 1th entry will be in June.. And you can visit their blogs Annika and Joanne.

"We will also be joined by two Guest Designers for June. Victoria and Heidi. Now Heidi is only 12 going on 13 yrs old...we were so impressed with her work that we asked her to join us. Victoria is the owner of the fabulous ABC Challenge and has always supported the SFTW Challenges ...and again we are thrilled to have such talent with us for the next two challenges."

Well, I think I have said all that is new now on Stampin For The Weekend, so head over and see what the rest of the team has made for this Challenge.

I thought it has been a long time since we had a sketch so here is one I made previously. I simply want you to make a card using my sketch and one of our downloads.
What you use on your card is entirely up to you, as long as you include a Charmed download.

Without futher do, here is my card. I used spellbinder, old scraps, and the rest of the paper is from ClupScrap. Sentiment is Just Rite.
I used this lovely couple from this collection, and you can find it at Charmed Card and Craft.

So take a visit over to DW and see what the rest of the team has come up with.

Artsy Challenge

Stampartic has come with their first challenge: make an distress background the rest is up to you.
I used some of the refills and made this, and then stamped with walnut stain.
Stamp is digi from DewDrop Craftz. I have to admitt that distress ink and me,don`t go so well together, but it is fun to try.

Her kommer mitt bidrag til StampArtic sin første utfordring. Jeg har brukt noen av de nye refilene og deretter stempla med distress. Men jeg må innrømme at distress blekket ikke helt er min venn, sliter med det. Men, det er moro å prøve.

I need Flowers!

This week I am the hostess for the challenge over at Dotties World. And here is what I want.

Hello folks.
I live in North of Norway and we do have bit to much snow on the ground yet, and inside we do not have water, it is frozen and if we are lucky it may come back in the end of this month. So you see, I need colours and some flowers in my life now.

I want you to use flowers on your card in different colours, so go wild with this one. Any kind of flowers will do. But, the most important thing to remember is to use one of our Charmed downloads.

Looking forward to see what you make of this one.
And when I look out my window, it is actually snowing. I have to admitt that I like snow..... but that is in the winter, not at springtime.

Well, this week I deceided to make a picture instead of a card. I found this frame in my basement when cleaning up after the flood. Can you belive it, water everywhere else but in the water tap where we want it.

I made the background with Glimmer mist, added different kind of flowers from my stash, stamped the word belive and used this sweet Flower Pixie from Charmed Card and Craft. You can find her in this collection.
So head over to Dotties World and take a look at what the rest of the design team has come up with.

On this one I use a TH stamp, printable sticker from House of 3 and some other things cut out withi my silhouette. Added some paper and dew drops on. A couple of prima flowers and a charm. This is it.

So head over to Stampin For The Weekend and take a look at the work from the rest of the team. Take part and enjoy.

All Sewn Up- over at Dotties World

Over at Dotties World Nicole is the hostess for this challenge and her word about this is:

Hi gang! Nicole here with this weeks challenge. I would like to see some stitching on your card this week.....faux, hand or machine stitching is fine. :o) and of course make sure you add a Charmed Download as well!

I had this great fabric and wanted to use that on this card. Tried to make it a bit rinkle to get some "wind" to it.
The frame is a outline from spellebinder frame. I distressed it with cats eye chalk and added some stiches to it by pen.
I added some flowers a button and a bow to it, all from my stash. And the image is my Charmed One and is from the Boy Oh Boy Collection.

So head over to Dotties World and take a look of what the rest of team has come up with.
And enjoy your sunday.
